Quoting Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum | Concorde, Fox Alpha, Air France:

The first supersonic airliner to enter service, the Concorde flew thousands of passengers across the Atlantic at twice the speed of sound for over 25 years. Designed and built by Aérospatiale of France and the British Aviation Corporation, the graceful Concorde was a stunning technological achievement that could not overcome serious economic problems.

In 1976 Air France and British Airways jointly inaugurated Concorde service to destinations around the globe. Carrying up to 100 passengers in great comfort, the Concorde catered to first class passengers for whom speed was critical. It could cross the Atlantic in fewer than four hours – half the time of a conventional jet airliner. However its high operating costs resulted in very high fares that limited the number of passengers who could afford to fly it. These problems and a shrinking market eventually forced the reduction of service until all Concordes were retired in 2003.

In 1989, Air France signed a letter of agreement to donate a Concorde to the National Air and Space Museum upon the aircraft’s retirement. On June 12, 2003, Air France honored that agreement, donating Concorde F-BVFA to the Museum upon the completion of its last flight. This aircraft was the first Air France Concorde to open service to Rio de Janeiro, Washington, D.C., and New York and had flown 17,824 hours.

Most dogs require training to become well behaved. Apply this advice as you work hard to groom a happy and healthy member of your family.

Make sure that your dog stays in a relaxed area. Play time needs to be a distinctive time you initiate. Avoid acknowledging him as you enter. This helps to maintain a controlled atmosphere.

Activities and the environment can play a role in excessive barking. Understanding the triggers enables you to deal with the behavior correctly. For instance, if visitors cause your dog to bark incessantly, have visitors more often so that your dog becomes accustomed to their presence.

Start training your dog with some easy exercises. You will have the rush of seeing quick results, but the dog will gain a basic understanding of what good behavior means. This provides you with greater results throughout the training.

Consistent training is important in order for it to be most effective. Unless you have extensive formal experience in training your pet, it’s unreasonable to think you can succeed overnight. You can not be expect to find perfection in just a few tries, no matter how hard you try. Be patient and train your dog on a daily basis.

One thing you should remember when you are training your pet is that you should not give in to bad things your dog does. In doing so, you are essentially telling your dog that it is able to control you, not the other way around. An example of something to avoid is giving your dog a treat when it is barking.

If you do not mind having your dog go to the bathroom indoors, you should set aside an area for him to take care of business. This will help let your dog know that there’s only one place he is to alleviate himself.

When training, find a verbal clue your pet can understand so they will know exactly when to do as you say. Using an affirmative word can help your dog understand they did their part and it is time for a treat.

You need to adhere to a specific feeding routine for your dog. Feed your dog at the same times every day, so that he knows what to expect. Your dog will soon become accustomed to his feeding schedule and eat quickly.

If your dog is accompanying you on a trip, be sure to bring along whatever your dog needs for sleeping, eating and eliminating. In order to have a pleasant trip, food and water bowls, bathroom bags and paper towels are necessities. Don’t drag a huge bag of food with you. You can buy some at your destination.

Utilize many different resources, including dog-training books and magazines, when training your dog. Talk to other owners of the same breed of dog you have. Use what you find out to tailor your training routine for your dog.

Make sure your dog knows how to obey, to reduce the frequency of their barks. As the dog begins barking, display a treat and then repeat your order until the barking ceases. At this time, give the treat to your dog. By repeating this, the dog learns that silence brings treats.

Always say the name of your dog in a positive way. Your pet should be able to link his own name with a pleasant tone and a desirable response. This creates an added incentive to perform the desired behavior. Thus, it is good not to use the dog’s name in negative ways.

Do not panic if your dog has a bad attitude right now. With time and patience, all dogs can learn proper behavior. The article above offered some great advice to help you get started with the process of training your dog.
