Dogs bring love and joy into our homes. There is a lot of extra work involved with owning a puppy though. There is a lot of training that needs to take place. Use the tricks written here and you will surely be able to train your dog easily.

An effective training tool is to use different tones of voice for various commands or purposes. Your dog should be able to distinguish between varying tones you use for praise, commands and corrections. Use a sharp and firm tone for commands and a loud tone to correct his behaviors, saving the natural tone for praises.

Early in your training, when your pet does something you want him to, give him a treat. After they get the hang of it, back off the treats and only give them a treat 75% of the time, and continue reducing treats until they only get one occasionally.

A good thing to remember during training is the fact that your every move will play a role in the dog’s eventual personality and disposition. This is important to know, because you might undo certain desired behaviors inadvertently by teasing your dog or engaging in horseplay. Do your best to lead your dog in a positive direction.

Don’t become angry the training isn’t going well with your dog. If your techniques aren’t working on the dog, then maybe you aren’t doing a good job.
